This is the default behaviour of the MS Notepad, which only stops at spaces, while navigating using the Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right. Some people actually prefer such longer jumps, since stopping at every non-word boundary can lead to loads of stops in some types of texts.

This should be implemented as a new option within the Settings dialog.
