Simply deselecting the settings options to save window position and/or size does not erase these values from settings. This is because many users want to setup their preferred position and/or size and keep it that way forever. Therefore, you might need to manually erase them to regain the automated window auto-positioning and auto-sizing.
Since version 6.3.1: There are //p and //s command line parameters, which can reset window position and size respectively. Just run the following command and the window should open with default placement. Close that window right away to make sure the position and size reset is properly saved into the config.
TedNPad.exe //p //s
Note: This also applies to the situation when no window appears at all after starting the application. The most common reason for this is placing the window onto a second monitor and saving its position there. Then, after getting rid of that second monitor (or just decreasing resolution), one cannot find the window (since it is still placed at the same coordinates).
Tip: To start TED Notepad without loading any settings use /nl command line parameter.
