TED Notepad offers a handy set of features available through moving, clicking or dragging the mouse.

Drag & Drop

After selecting text, use the mouse to Drag & Drop the selected text to another location. The text is moved without involving the system Clipboard or any of the Clips.

Add the Ctrl key while dragging text with the mouse, and text will be copied to the new location, instead of being moved. If holding the Ctrl key is not a comfortable option, use the right mouse button, instead of the left one, to drag the text. This will show a small popup menu after releasing the right mouse button, where the choice between copy and move can be made.

The Ctrl key can be added, or let go of, at any time before the mouse button is released. Similarly, mouse buttons can be changed, at any time before the last mouse button is released. Started with the left mouse button, but want to change to the right mouse button? Just add the right mouse button to the left one, then release the left mouse button. When the right mouse button is finally released, it will show the popup menu choice between copy and move, as if only the right mouse button was used all along. In other words, the Ctrl key, and whether the left or right mouse button was used, only matters are the end of a Drag & Drop operation, i.e. when all mouse buttons are completely released.

Tip: Simply use the Esc key during Drag & Drop mouse operation to cancel it.

URLs

With or without the Detect URLs option being turned on, whenever any text is selected, the Right-click context menu will either show URL: Navigate, if a URL is selected, or Selection: Web Search otherwise.

TODO:
-multi-clicks can only be done feasibly via the left button, but they can also used for right-clicks
-as long as the left button is held down, the current left-multi-click combo takes precedence
-if a right-click is added to the held-down left button, the current left-multi-click combo is preserved
-this is the only way how a right-multi-click combo can potentially be reached!
-if the left button is then released, the current multi-click combo is still preserved
-if the left button is then clicked again, the current multi-click combo is reset

TODO:
-the Paste with mouse upon allows Shift to be added to Swap instead of Paste
-note: this collides with other Shift purpose: it also extends the current selection upon click
